Club Sensationzzz scores new gig

Club Sensationzzz (Sam, Galloway Allbright; Ryan Mattingly) will produce and perform their new sketch comedy show at the Avenue Theater on Wednesday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. If all goes well (i.e., the loyal supporters of all things Sam fill the seats, applaud early and often, thus impressing the club owners of their drawing power) they'll become part of the Avenue's stellar Wednesday Night Series. All tickets are $10 and includes one free drink and 90 minutes of entertainment.

Cows ends its 12 week run

The show closed this evening before a rowdy, appreciative crowd. Sam wants to thank his fellow cast members--Galloway Allbright, Chris Gallegos, Ryan Mattingly, Yvette Rebik, Rick Rothenberg, Meredith Winfield and Shannon Wood--for their support and talent throughout the "Cows on a Plane" adventure.

Brother Benjamin

Sam played tonight with Brother Benjamin--Paul Cross, Carl Wedell and Ryan Williams--at the Bovine Metropolis's Battle Royale (Tuesdays / 7:30 p.m. / $5).

Against Me!

Sam raved about the Against Me! set tonight at the Fillmore, was less enthused concerning Mastodon ("Oh, so this is alt-metal...") and Cursive, and bummed he missed Denver's own Planes Mistaken For Stars.

Radio Avenue

Today members of the Bovine Metropolis's Acme Comedy Players performed at the Avenue Theater reprising many of the torch songs from Cows on a Plane. The recorded proceedings, Radio Avenue, will be broadcast Monday, May 7th at 8:00 p.m. on KGNU community radio and forever online.
