The UMS: Day 2, by Mike Long, Reverb

A nice mention by Mr. Long about young Sam:

"I bounced back and forth across the street from Skylark to Sobo 151 to catch some of Denver’s best new comics like Sam Tallent and Jodee Champion (the two I saw) gamely attempt to draw laughter from an appreciative but mostly quiet — or too hip to laugh out loud — audience."

Pressing news concerning Sam

"Congratulations! There are few periodicals more prestigious than the Elbert County News," says Rick Rothenberg, local media expert (the article ran today). The lovely EC News reporter did get one item wrong: Sam's peers at the Bovine Metropolis Theater named him the Sketch Performer of 2007, and not "top improvisational comedian" (there was no such award).

Fleeting critical acclaim for young Samuel

"Newcomer Sam Tallent impressed me as well. Even in sketches in need of comic defibrillation, Tallent consistently managed to inject some level of humor. Obviously quick on his feet and with a wry sense of the absurd, Tallent is sure to show up in future comedies at the Bovine or otherwise."
Gary Zeidner, Boulder Weekly, March 15 - March 22, 2007

Here's Zeidner's complete review of "Cows on a Plane."

"I Know What You Did Last Christmas" opens November 17th

Sam Tallent appears with Acme Comedy Players in the holiday show, I Know What You Did Last Christmas, opening November 17th at Denver’s Bovine Metropolis Theatre, 1527 Champa Street. The troupe performs Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. through Christmas.

The Rocky Mountain News recently named the Bovine Metropolis
the "People's Choice" as Denver’s top improv comedy theatre.

In addition to writing and performing with the Acme troupe, Sam is also a member of the rotating cast of On the Spot, an improvisational comedy show playing Friday and Saturday late nights at the Bovine. Sam has also performed several times at the Comedy Works as one of “Denver’s New Faces of Comedy” and can often be seen doing stand up in clubs throughout Boulder and Denver.
